Les Patterson: Saves The World follows the hilariously inept Australian diplomat, Les Patterson (played by Barry Humphries), whose boozy and disastrous appearance at the UN lands him in the Middle East. There, he unwittingly stumbles upon a KGB bioweapon and, with a bit of help from Dame Edna, becomes embroiled in a world-saving mission. Despite his perpetual state of drunkenness and complete lack of competence, Patterson’s chaotic antics may just be what saves the day in this absurd, globetrotting comedy. With outrageous characters and a wildly comedic storyline, the film delivers plenty of laughs and far-fetched heroics.
